Grade 9 for schoolchildren is the time to determine their life path. Choosing a profession is a difficult and responsible step in the life of every person, on which his whole future life will depend. Where to go to study? What profession should I choose? Therefore, on October 11, 2022, 9th grade students of our school together with the National Chamber of Entrepreneurs "Atameken" and class teachers made an excursion to Kostanay Polytechnic Higher College.
The children were warmly welcomed by teachers and student activists of the college and, divided into 4 groups, led to workshops where practical classes are held, and classrooms for master classes. Each group in turn attended 10 master classes in professions that our graduates can receive at this educational institution: "Accounting and auditing", "Standardization, metrology and certification", "Automation and process control", "Power supply", "Maintenance, repair and operation of electromechanical equipment", "Mechanical engineering technology", "Elevator, flour milling, cereal and feed production", "Software", "Bakery, pasta and confectionery production", "Computer technology and information networks". The list of specialties is extensive, and they are all useful, and most importantly, in demand in the labor market.
The students of the school were shown the unique material and technical base of the college (an IT center equipped with the latest technology; an educational set for robotics, a laser cutting and engraving machine, a 3D printer), laboratories equipped with the latest technology, modern equipment manufactured in France, Germany, the USA. All this helps college students not just to study theory from books and manuals, but in practice to get the basics of the profession, get acquainted directly with production. Also, the children were told about the success of students in Olympiads and competitions of various levels, sports competitions, familiarized with the opportunities to express themselves in creative sections, circles and outlined the advantages of studying at college.
The tour turned out to be very rich and interesting. The guys learned a lot of useful information for themselves, were active and asked questions.
